Sunday’s engagement session was a lot of fun. We started with a stroll around historic San Juan Capistrano. Walking, talking, laughing, and making pictures; at times it felt more like a double date than a photo shoot.
After a relaxing sushi dinner we took off for Laguna Beach where Renee and Robert showed their romantic – playful side and Julie and I got wet. Yep… head to toe dripping wet; we must have offend King Neptune some how.
We always have a blast hanging out with Renee and Robert; can’t wait for the wedding.
Saturday was one of those days when everything came together perfectly. The rain from the night before, left the sky a bright blue and the landscape a lushes green. An ideal playground for the fun loving style of the bride and groom.
It was a magical evening with Ashley and Steve; the venue, family, friends, and music all combined for an amazing wedding and great photography. Every detail was meaningful and complementary to the natural beauty of their surroundings.
May the love, fun and beauty of their wedding day show in their marriage all the days of their lives.

About three months ago we got an email from my sister. She had exciting news.
A friend of her’s had written a song, a wonderful song; the perfect father – daughter wedding song and they wanted to put it in a video with the right pictures.
I listened to the song and was eager to do it but we just did not have the time. So we put the project on hold for a while.
We finally were able to get back to it this weekend.
The song, “I just wanted you to know” was written and performed by John and Scotty Kromel.
It’s a beautiful song. We are honored to be part of the project.
I spent last night on the roof with my Nikon D4 and Nikon D800E; it was my first attempt photographing a lunar eclipse. The four hours of sleep I gave up was well worth the time and effort. God’s display in the night sky was beautiful and inspiring.
Sunday was the perfect day to combine a nature walk and photography; spending it with Katie, Danny and their dog Abby made it even better.
I love the images from this session. It was a fun relaxing day.
The natural beauty of the surroundings meshed wonderfully with the natural love of this amazing couple.
